Radiology—or X-rays—help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular (cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems. We employ the latest radiographic techniques, including digital radiology technology, to provide swift and accurate diagnoses. We enjoy this new equipment for its convenience in telemedicine. We can send radiographs via email to board certified radiologists or orthopedists in a matter of seconds to get valuable expert second opinions.
Ultrasonography—or sonograms—help veterinarians to evaluate certain organs (heart, liver, kidneys, bladder, etc.) in 3 dimensional planes of view. Did you know??? …Not every veterinarian who perfoms ultrasound is board certified in this relatively new technology. At Providence Animal Hospital, we only use a board certified radiologist for these important evaluations. Only the best will do for you and your pet and that is why we go the extra mile to bring in an expert.
